Climbing a Mountain…Literally
In the rugged terrain of Bear Creek Canyon, Justin McCarty, owner and president of Durango, Colorado’s McCarty Excavation and Construction, is hard at work carving out a road to the top of a mountain. Mr. McCarty and his company have worked jobs all the way from Bozeman, Montana to Ruidoso, New Mexico, and he gladly stands by the reliability of John Deere equipment.
“The Deere equipment is so quick and intuitive,” McCarty says. “It’s so responsive to whatever you’re thinking and however you’re operating. It’s unparalleled. Any time we’ve had any other product besides Deere, we can’t wait to get that off the jobsite and get back on the Deere equipment.”
The mountainous terrain McCarty is working on during the Bear Creek Canyon project presents several challenges. From unexpected rock shelves to massive boulders, there are a variety of obstacles, but with the right equipment no challenge is insurmountable. John Deere machinery can handle even these tough tasks with ease.
A Strong Partnership
Mr. McCarty’s relationship with 4Rivers Equipment has been crucial. Their partnership allows for scaling quickly and filling in gaps with rental equipment when needed.
“I’ve always enjoyed working with 4Rivers,” McCarty says. “We’ve worked with them on the Front Range, we’ve worked with them here in Durango, and I’ve appreciated the warranty. But we’ve never had to use it.”
Matt Sisson, a 4Rivers Territory Manager based out of Farmington, New Mexico works frequently with Mr. McCarty, and attests that the respect goes both ways.
“He takes great care of his machines to begin with, but Deere’s just a good product for him,” Sisson says. “I think it’s awesome when you got a guy like Justin that can jump in there and still just make it happen. He’s got lots of good crews that work for him that do a great job as well.”
Dedicated Service
Sisson also gives props to the 4Rivers service department when it comes to making sure customers like Mr. McCarty are well taken care of.
“Our service department, and just in general all of 4Rivers, they care about their job and they care about the customer. They just provide great service and they care is what it boils down to.”
“You can call them 24 hours a day,” McCarty says. “That’s kind of how I have to run, and I appreciate having partners like that in the business.”
